Mountaineer Field is a football stadium located in Morgantown, West Virginia. It was opened in 1924 and has a seating capacity of over 60,000. The stadium is primarily used for home games of the West Virginia Mountaineers football team. Also, the stadium has hosted concerts, state high school football championship games, and other events over the years. The field is known for its natural grass playing surface, as well as its proximity to the WVU Coliseum and other athletic facilities on campus. The Mountaineer Field has undergone several renovations and upgrades over the years, including the addition of luxury suites and a video scoreboard.
